lets paint...

This past week I have had a Scrappy week!!
I love those weeks where the mojo just flows...

I have just chosen 2 layouts to share with you tonight,
this first page is my 2 youngest kids painting with watercolours in the driveway.
I have used half a doilie, a ticket, a spotty button and some twine.
The 2nd is my eldest Boy..
I don't scrap him anywhere near often enough,
but i got some photo's of him using my new Increibooth app on my iphone and scrapped them straight away!
another half doilie, an awesome skull button and some more twine..
only a couple of hours to get those sketch challenges in,
make sure you get them uploaded in time to win some fabbo Purple Pumpkin goodies!

A New Life..

Any day now, we are expecting a new little one to be delivered into this beautiful world. This will be my brothers and his wife first baby. Our family is excited and we are all hoping for a little boy - but another pretty one would add to the growing number of girls....LOL...

This layout was based on the 15th Oct Sketch over at Stuck.

For this layout, i went for softer colours, so the crochet doileys were a perfect choice of embellishment to add to my layout.

and this one too:

Did you spot the cheeky monkey?????

These large buttons are gorgeous and after all this baby might be a little cheeky monkey one day!

Thanks for popping by and having a look see and i will let you know when the new bub arrives...

Lots of Buttons by Sara N

Just two quick pages to share with you today.

I completed this page for the recent Get Picky sketch challenge and the buttons were perfect for the circle spots on the sketch. I have used a small pirate button at the top, a spotty button on the side and a super cute pirate button at the bottom.
And my second page was a blind scrap hosted by fellow DT member Sar. I have used a small spotty button and twine at the top and a small car button on the side.
I am busy at retreat as we speak so I am sure I will have plenty to share with you next week.

Team Spirit

This year was Emma's second year at playing touch football for the school. And you could tell - at least she could catch the football! Emma's friends decided to get a team photo but of course there weren't any serious one's
- all muck around...LOL..This year Emma must of stood out from the rest of her team as she was named best and fairest for her school. Emma was over the moon with excitment when she received a bag of footy things and couldn't wait to show the rest of her team mates.

I have based my layout on a Scrapjack by Mel.

Can you pick my daughter???

Emma is second from left at the back - the biggest clown in the group!!!

I have used a great range of Purple Pumpkin products on this layout. You will see the big spotty buttons of course, the crochet doileys which i absolutely love, a lollipop star made from fabric which is great and adds texture to the layout.

My second cluster of embellishments shows the bakers twine, doiley, large spotty button and some tickets. These come in many colours , so they are ideal for all styles of scrapbooking.

Hope you enjoyed my upload and can see how versitile Purple Pumpkin Embellishments can be.

Happy Wednesday! :D

Hello! I am just loving using Purple Pumpkin buttons on ALL my creations! And I am really loving polka dots too at the moment (I mean, I think I always have had a "soft spot" for the odd polka dot), but now, I seem to be loving them more than ever!

Needless to say, (but of course I'm going to say it anyway! :D ) that I am head over heels for Purple Pumpkin's Spotty Dotty buttons!!! Here on this layout, "Time for School", I've used not one, not two, but THREE spotty dotties together...

I've used a fun technique for my background that I've used once before - I've glued lots of green and green-toned postage stamps in a "scattered" effect all over my green cardstock base, then to blend, I've simply sprayed the entire page with green glimmermist. :)

I just love how cute these buttons look lined up together. The colours that are available are GORGEOUS, so in saying that, they are so easy and fun to use!!! Check out this yummy pic...

Aren't they beauties? If you haven't got any Spotty Dotties in your stash, make sure you pick up some at the next sale - seriously, they are SO addictive! ;)

TFL & have a lovely day!

Cheers,
Chantal

Music can be such inspiration...

Hi everyone, hope your week has started off well.
Today I would like to share with you some layouts I have been working on over the past few days.

I love music its a HUGE part of my life, I always have a CD or radio on no matter what (even when I go to sleep) so when I was scrapping this first layout, i was listening to Missy Higgins on the radio. I couldn't think of a title and then it hit me...The title of her song 'Special Two'.

This is a pic of my Hubby and I, taken by my son (i like this pic) at the local Japanese Gardens in Ipswich.

Here is a close up of the cluster of awesome Purple Pumpkin Goodness :)

This next layout was a quick one I whipped up for a challenge blog, I had to use Aqua and Pink and i knew the perfect Purple Pumpkin Embellishments to use...
This is my niece Mia, I don't get to see her very often cos she is so far away (in Melbourne)
She is so cheeky, I just love this pic of her.
The 2 different sized doilies together with the button look fantastic together.
I glimmer misted the larger doily, it was white and i misted it Aqua...

Remember there are only 6 more days left for you to get your layout in for the
Purple Pumpkin Sketch Challenge...

Here is my take on the sketch...

 Yummo Purple Pumpkin felt flower
Ive been using twine a lot for simple things like I have here to underline my title.

Thanks for looking and come back soon

Run Run Run by Sar

I've had an awesome weekend of scrapbooking with the Scrapbook Savvy Cybercrop happening all week, continuing unil midnight this Thursday 27th October. Head over to the forum if you'd like to play along.

After I'd finished all of my cybercrop challenges, I sat down to do something special for my Purple Pumpkin blog post today.

I pulled out an older kit called 'Old School' from SFS, and it just worked perfectly with so many of my Purple Pumpkin embellishments.

Run Run Run - a page featuring my little boy last year at his first athletics carnival.

A close up the XL Alphabet Button, which I've inked to suit. This button is sitting on top of a vinyl cog, is wrapped in green twine and then layered over the top of a row of tickets.

A closeup of the felt embellishment peeking out, I have cut this in half so I can use the other half on another layout...talk about value for money!

And a closeup of my journalling, about Cooper's day.

Thanks for visiting Purple Pumpkin today, see you again soon!

I went to a little crop with a good friend on friday night, and got these 3 pages completed..
This first one is a photo I took using the instagram app on my phone,
I think these imperfect photo's are so cute on scrapbooking pages!
I have used a tiny little blue spotty button over the top of a yellow doilie.. so cute!
I have also once again used some twine, another favorite of mine!
There is also a few little tickets in there, under the photo, they are a great substitute for pattern paper..
Next up is a just because, and I have made the main elements on this page Purple Pumpkin..
For me the round doilies are a little bit daunting as I like to group my elements together and they are quite big,
so for this page I have cut a green doilie in half and layered it over the bottom of my photo..
I have also used a giant spotty button, that cute little froggy button, and of course some twine!
This page I completed using the October Purple Pumpkin sketch as inspiration..
PP elements used are part of a scallop doilie, a sweet little pink cloud, green twine and that gorgeous little panda button.. I just love them, and have some more coming from the last sale!!
You still have 8 days, til the end of the month to get your sketch entries in, to be in the running to win some great PP stuff!!

Happy Sunday
Tara :-)

Shares by Sara

I am sure that orders are starting to arrive in mailboxes from last week's sale. I hope that you enjoy playing with your new goodies.

Today I have 3 layouts to share with you that I completed during the week.

First up is for the October Sketch challenge. I have used a doilie in 2 places, vinyl star, tickets and a spotty button. You still have until October 31st to play along.
The next is a just because of my two boys. I have used a doilie, vinyl cog and some spotty buttons.
And my final layout for today is a sketch challenge from a store. The striped button was the final touch I put on this layout. And the twine is perfect for balloon string.
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

Sizzling Summer....at Purple Pumpkin

I feel that already we are going to have a HOT summer. And my favourite holiday spot to be while the weather is warm, is on a beach and to be swimming in the surf. My three girls love when we go away because they know that hubby and i choose a place either up or down the coast from where we live. So on our last holiday, we visited Forster and i took over 300 photos on our holiday. Because of this, i have heaps of beachy photos to scrap.

I have completed this layout based on the Scrap the Girls Challenge.

I find that the spotty buttons go with absolutely EVERYTHING.

And the crochet doiley are just gorgeous and so bright which yes, you could guess, were a great embellishment for my layout.

And i couldn't resist a cluster of embellishments which resembled and complimented the beach...

So i hope you enjoyed todays upload and that it made you ALL happy and bright on such a gorgeous day...

Layering Embellishments

One of my most favourite techniques in scrapbooking is layering - especially layering textures.

IMAGE REMOVED FOR PUBLICATION

I just love how easy it is to layer with Purple Pumkin embellishments and the doilies make the perfect base.  To adhere them, there are a few options.  I used hot glue on this page, but I also find the Fabritac works well, too.

I chose the pink felt flower because it coordinates so nicely with my daughter's dress and also because it adds another texture.  For more design notes, please visit my blog.  Until then, look for another of my layered looks when the November challenge comes out.

Thanks so much for visiting,
Tracey

G'day from Chantal!!! :D

How's everyone today? Eagerly awaiting the postie for your Purple Pumpkin goodies in the mail?! ;)

Well I've been diving right into my Purple Pumpkin supplies and wow - I am so excited to share with you all here a couple of my latest layouts bursting with of PP goodness...

First up this layout is called "Bombie Pool" (hence the "diving" pun... LOL)...:) and I've used orange tickets (love these!!!), Aqua twine (kept it in it's cute bow as an accent in itself... super cute :P), mini doilies and a regular sized doily, a Star Round embellishment and lastly (but certainly not least!) a black and white Spotty Dotty Button! (becoming a layout staple very quickly, these are!!!) :D

There's a closie... aren't these handmade goodies THE BEST?!! I'm in love! Seriously!!!

Now I'd love for you to check out my double pager (double click on it to make it ginormous if you like! :D)...

This layout is called "Celebrating Summertime". I love scrapping Summer photos, don't you? Here's a few closies...

I've a Red Pack Button tucked behind my sandcastle there. Cute! :)

I've an Orange Doily with a cardstock sticker on top (I then glued on some goggle eyes and drew on a smile...) for my smiley Mr. Sun! Easy and effective! :D

Two more buttons... a Spotty Dotty and another Red Pack stunner! Love the "pop" of dimension the Purple Pumpkin handmade embellies give... plus that exta bit of texture. Gorgeous!

I hope you enjoyed my share today and that you're all inspired to scrap now! I hope you have some Purple Pumpkin goodies handy.... but if you are waiting for the postie... whoops! I hope you are blessed with patience... LOL!

Take care and have a great one!

TFL!

A post from Crece

Hope everyone is having a wonderful day, I'm settling back into the flow of things after just arriving back from Melbourne for a flying visit with family and for 'business'...

The layout I would like to share with you is one of those 'I have to finish it before I go to bed' projects. I started this at about 10pm last week. I was really happy with how it turned out, below is the finished layout...

I'm not one to use flowers normally on a boy layout, but the black satin flower with the spotted button centre just look too good NOT to put on this layout!
Originally the ghost button wasn't on the layout, I received that in the post the day after I had finished the layout. I was sitting at the table and was opening the package and was looking through all my Purple Pumpkin Goodies, I kept thinking the layout needed something a little more, and there it was lying on my table...a cute Ghost button which tied in really well with the theme of the papers.

Here is a close up of the PP Goodies.

Remember Purple Pumpkin is on Facebook so head on over and 'Like'  :)
Sam also announced today that the 'LUCKY DIPS' will be back!!! Awesome :)

Hope you all have a wonderful week, til my next post...

Thanks for looking,
Crece

Pretty Clusters by Sar

Pretty clusters come together SO easily when you're using Purple Pumpkin. Its hard not to go overboard...it would be so easy to just keep adding more and more to my cluster!

On this page I've used a gorgeous lace flower, a small crocheted doiley, a spotty button (of course!) and a super cute bird button. I've also used some twine on my tiny buttons, seperating it to only two strands.

Smile Like You Mean It

And a close up of my cluster...

I don't know about you but I have added MORE Purple Pumpkin to my stash with the new sale last Friday...think I'm going to need a bigger box to store it all in! I hope you managed to get some too before it all sold out!

See you again soon.

Cheers,
Sar

Spotty Essentials

If there is one thing that should be a staple in every scrappers stash, I think it should be these spotty buttons!
I have a real thing for polka dots, as you would be able to tell from most of my pages, and these buttons are no exception!

I have created this page about my son on Australia Day a few years ago, loosely using Aussie colours, I love the way the blue and red buttons really finish the page off, and stand out, making them the real focus. The yellow twine underneath works well to bring it all together!

This page I created for this months White with ONE challenge. I didnt have a lot of black or white embellishments in my stash, so when I got my product pack from Purple Pumpkin the day after I completed it, I knew that black spotty button would go perfectly in there! Once again I have also used the black twine on this page, I love to use it as it falls on my pages, I usually glue it down with only minimal placement...
This was just a quick and simple page I made up after making my own circle mask one night.... All papers used to embellish were scraps on my table from other pages, thus all the different colours. I just love how that spotty button pops off the page and really brightens the whole layout up!
Don't forget you can click on all images to make them bigger, and to see the detail in the layouts!

Well thats it from me today, I hope you all stocked up in the sale on friday night.... I know I got a few super cute things, and I can't wait to get them!

Have a great Sunday!

Tara
