You have until the 31st of December to complete this sketch and link it up in our sidebar. There will be two fabulous Purple Pumpkin prize packs to give away - one winner will be chosen by the design team, and the second will be a random prize draw.

Can't wait to see what you create this month and hope everyone finds time to scrap over the festive season!

Don't you just adore Purple Pumpkin's buttons?!

Hello everyone! It's Chantal here with you today. Hey, did you read yesterday's post - what exciting news! It's all happening here! :)

Today I'd like to share a layout with you all using LOTS of Purple Pumpkin buttons...

My title is "You Adore the Outdoors". And there are FIVE Purple Pumpkin buttons on it. That's a new record for me! ;)

My background was made by spraying glimmermist over white cardstock - but here was my lightbulb moment - over half-cut flowers (which act as clouds). Cool hey? I've got WAAAY too many flowers - yucky, feral-looking ones too - so I need to find new ways to use them up because I don't scrap with them much... ;)

Here's a closie of two cute Spotty Dotty buttons and a scooter button here...

The scooter button tied in really well with these scooting pics! Don't you just love that - having exactly the right item for your project in your stash? It's like it's just meant to be!

I made a sun with a XL PP Spotty Dotty Button and a doodled sticker underneath...

Have you got your entry in for our monthly challenge yet? There's still a little bit of time left... it ends today!

That's all from me today, I hope you all have a lovely (maybe scrappy!) day!

Cheers!
Chantal

News!

So, today I was going to share some gorgeous layouts from our November guest designer, but I can't upload the photos, so I'll share some news with you instead...

Starting early 2012, as well as our usual monthly sales, Purple Pumpkin will be opening to the public 1 day per week!! New release kits and buttons will remain exclusive to our monthly sales, but you'll be able to come in and stock up on things like general buttons, twine, tickets, embellishments, as well as special mini kits. We'll also be offering classes, where you'll get to use the latest papers, as well as exclusive Purple Pumpkin products! As we are based north of Brisbane, I know this might be just a bit hard for some of our fabulous customers to get to, as you guys are scattered all over the world, but it would be great to meet some of you face to face :)

If you think you might be interested in doing some classes with us next year, send us an email to purplepumpkincrafts@hotmail.com with "2012 Classes" in the subject line, and we'll put you on our mailing list so you'll be the first to know all the details :)

Well, I hope you all had a great day! Can you believe it's almost December already?! Make sure you get those sketch challenge entries linked up so you can be in the running for a fabulous prize pack.

Happy scrapping!

Trust.....

Trust is a great word and i don't know why i haven't included this word on my layouts before today.....

My daughter was diagnosed with ADHD at the end of last year. Since being on medication, her attitude and emotions have changed greatly.I felt sorry for her school teacher last year but there has been a BIG improvement this year in her school work....thank goodness...

I still go mental half the time with her but its something that i just put up with and go with the flow..

But Bridget has been going to RDA each week with the school under a special needs programme. Why did it only have to have started this year i ask myself...

The horse riding has been so beneficial to her physically and mentally...
So this layout that i completed for Bird Is The Word was an ideal challenge and best represents the word "trust" between a girl and her horse...

and a close up of the funky buttons and a material lollipop flower:

and the tickets are very versatile on any layout:

Hope you enjoyed my post.

Have you completed our monthly sketch challenge??

Why not????

You should have a go.

We love visiting scrappers blogs to check out everybody's gorgeous layouts...

See ya..

Just Like Daddy!

Hello,
Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend, I know I am.

Today I would like to share with you a layout I created using a few Purple Pumpkin Embellishments.

This layout is titled 'Just like Daddy!' it is a layout of my youngest son Fletcher, and he wants to be a radio announcer "just like Daddy" (hence the title) Here he is at a school holiday program that was run at the local shopping centre where his Daddy was interacting with Kids on Radio.

I have used the papers from October Afternoon Rocket Age and a hint of Cornflowers Daze Chalkboard Glimmer mist and of course Purple Pumpkin Embellies.

here is a close up of the small cluster of buttons and clouds, love the spotty red button and felt square button together. The clods just add to the cluster and motion of the layout.

I have created the banner by using some red/white bakers twine and blue & red tickets.
Very easy to do, just fold the tickets in half over the twine and put a small piece of double sided tape (or glue) to the inside to hold into place. Tie the ends of the twine and attach to the layout. (I put 3d mounts on the pack of each tag to raise them from the backing cardstock to give a little more dimension to the page.

Dont forget entries for the November Sketch Challenge are due in the next few days, thanks for looking and hope yo have a wonderful start to a new week.

Kitted Up by Sara

Good afternoon

I have 2 new layouts to share with you today, both from the new kits at Scrapbook Savvy.

My first layout is using the He's Savvy. I received this cute monkey button in my boy lucky dip from the last sale along with the doilie, vinyl pendant and blue spotty button.
And a close up:

And my second layout is using the We're Savvy. The owl and doilie are a great embellishment to finish the page off.

And a close up:

Have you completed the November sketch as yet? There are just a few days left to enter.

Little Sister.....

Don't you hate it when siblings most of the time fight amoungst themselves and then make up about 20 min later...

Well that is exactly what my 3 girls do all the time!!!

So capturing this photo, was one of those times when they were friendly towards each other and not dobbing one another in to mum or dad!

I have based my layout on the latest sketch at Handmade by Suzanne
.

The felt buttons and crochet doileys were perfect for my page - gave the look of softness along with the girlie colours.

The twine is so good for making banners which is all the rage at the moment in scrapbooking.

Thanks for stopping by Purple Pumpkin and i hope you all got a little inspiration from my page.

Halloween buttons!

Our family doesn't celebrate Halloween, but I LOVED these buttons and got 2 packs in a previous sale anyway!
Here I have used one on an everyday layout about my Son and his hat!
{if you click on the picture you should be able to read the journalling!}
The button kind of reminded me of the design of his hat, so it worked out well :)
I also have hidden in there, a yellow doilie, some blue tickets and some yellow twine!
Just a little closeup of the button and doilie.... Just because I actually remembered to take one this time lol.
That's all from me for now, see you next time! Tara :-)

Hello! It's Chantal with you today!

Hi there! Today I've got my latest two layouts to share with you all. Both are using the same colour palette (the first one was for The Colour Room and the second was just a coincidence!).

Here's my layout called "Captivated"...

My layout has alot of fabrics and different textures - I went for a "dreamy/fun/wonderment" kinda feel. If that makes any sense! :D

I used alot more white on this layout than I normally do and I liked it! :)

I love that adorable PP panda button - it's super cute! I've also used Purple Pumpkin doilies and felt clouds. I've cut up my doilies to make a little banner...

And I gently lined the felt clouds on the left sides with a silver galaxy marker. :)

I've used Modge Podge and acrylic paints on some string and stuck it down in a sort of free-fall circle. Fun!

Here's my second layout to share with you today...

It's called "Slow Down!" and I've got lots of PP on this one too!

I've used an alpha sheet as my backing (misted, with a paint pen edge) for a fun and funky background.

The twine bow, mini doily (topped with a bead) and tickets are all Purple Pumpkin...

As well as the big doily and fabric buttons! Isn't the snail one so cute and so appropriate for my layout theme - "Slow Down"?! I doodled around these with a white gel pen. :)

Until next time, happy scrapping!

TFL! :)

Hope you all stocked up in the sale, I know I can't wait for my parcel to arrive!

Cheers,

Very Girly Girly....

Today my post is based on the Scrap the Girls Nov Challenge.

My DT pack was packed with colours that i could use on my layouts for lots and lots of girly type pages.

I have used the giant polka dot button and a smaller one side by side with a crochet doiley which i have cut in half - they go a long way when you do this to them for your pages.

So i hope you got a bargain at the sale and i hope they included the funky buttons and doiley which i have used on my layout.
