Excited {not} by Judith

Good morning. Hope your weekend is going well. Today I have a page to share with you that I did recently for the March challenge at Show Us Your Stuff. I came across this photo of my daughter whilst gathering together some photos for another page I was doing. She doesn't look too excited about having had her face painted here.
I took my inspiration from the hat she was wearing and the flowery design of the brim.

Here is a close up of the Purple Pumpkin embellishments I have used - a two tone pink felt flower, a girls at play bottlecap, a yellow ticket, a couple of small blue crochet flowers, a small apple fabric button and some dark pink and white twine.

Don't forget the March sale is still on over in the shop here. There are some gorgeous new goodies.

A Sad Day....

Today is my last post for Purple Pumpkin. Since being asked by Sam, i was a bit nervous to start with but everyone on the DT made me feel very welcome along with Sam. I was very grateful to be given the opportunity to design with her fantastic embellishments. And i loved to get a mix.....it made me push myself to use embellishments that i wouldn't normally use. But i would have to say that my fav's are the bright spotty buttons...they matched every time with my style of scrapping. And i was also glad to have some of my layouts published in Memories which featured Purple Pumpkin.

So today i thought i would sign off with a few of my favourite layouts throughout my term on this wonderful DT:

As you can see....i have heaps of favourites...LOL

So i hope i have inspired people to scrap and i invite you all to join in Purple Pumpkins monthly challenges and to try out for their DT,,,you will love them as much as i have.

Thanks again Sam for having me.

'Bali Memories' by Helen Tilbury

Hi ladies!  Hope you are well!!  We have a public holiday today in South Africa, where I live, so I am soooo happy about that!!!  I am going to spend some of my day scrapping of course!  Today I am sharing a layout with you that I created using the latest sketch at Get Creative.

I used all sorts of things from Purple Pumpkin on this page, namely the yoyo flower, wooden buttons, fabric buttons, twine, crochet flower & doily.  Hmmm, that's quite a lot isn't it?!

I'm so into yellow at the moment I don't know what to do with myself!  Everything I touch ends up swiped with my yellow inkpad!!  Above you can see a wooden Purple Pumpkin button that I have done just that to!  You can buy them HERE & recolour them to whatever colour you like (psst...I suggest yellow!)

As you can see I used a lot of twine too.  Rather than structured swirls I twisted the twine & let it drop into organic ones instead.  ♥♥♥ !!!  Buy your twine HERE - it's cheap & something with a million uses.  If it ever goes out of fashion in scrapbooking I'll be wrapping my gifts in it :)

The glittery bits you can see on the wooden buttons are Distress Stickles that I added once my inking was dry (just use a heat gun to speed up the process!) & don't worry about the print on the buttons - if you want to paint some up just flip them over & use the plain side!

See the pearl button above?  I took that off the yoyo flower & replaced it with a fabric button instead.  Of course I wasn't going to waste the pearl centre though so there it is!  Buy your patterned fabric buttons in the store HERE.  I don't see the yoyo flowers in stock right now but don't forget about the SALE coming up tomorrow - you may see some there!

Fabric button & twine!  Two very simple "staples" that look good with everything if you ask me!  Well I hope you enjoyed my page today.  It will be up on my blog some time next week.

Don't forget about the Purple Pumpkin Design Team call as you only have a few days to get your applications in - I hope you try out!!

If you haven't entered the giveaway on my blog I would love for you to join in - see it on my blog here!

Any direction you choose - By Crece

Good Morning, hope this post finds you all well.
Im sure you have heard about the Design Team Call here for Purple Pumpkin...Entries need to be in by THIS SUNDAY!!! so create some Awesome layouts/cards/OTP and send them in...full details can be found HERE.

Today Im sharing with you a layout I created using a quote from my Favourite Author Dr Seuss.

"You have brains in your head, you have feet in your shoes.
You can steer yourself any direction you choose."

This is a funny photo really, they were running away from me because they didn't want any more photos taken (which is rare!)
I have used orange/white twine across the bottom of the photo, I love how many colours the twine comes in...it was a hard decision choosing what colour I was going to use on this layout...brown...green...orange...red...

This tree button works in really well with the theme of the photo, we were at the local park and they have some beautiful trees that are great to sit under, and hide behind!

Faithful Washi Tape, I have so many rolls of it I am addicted to Washi!!!
I have also used an orange ticket.

How are you all going with the Sketch challenge for March???
There is still plenty of time to get your entries in...

Thanks for looking

Here and Now...

Well today is my 2nd last post for Purple Pumpkin....bit sad really:(
Life has been somewhat hectic for the last couple of months and scrapping for me was only the basics and not much else. But i did find a new challnge site that i thought looked interesting and i wanted to give it a go...
So this layout is for a challenge called Scrap your Story.

You can never go wrong with a few spotty buttons here and there.

I have also used some Memory Maze Chipboard on my layout too.

I thought i would show a nice and bright layout. This layout is based on a sketch at STUCK.Lots and lots of Purple Pumpkin embellishments on this one...

And a couple of close ups:

Well....thats about it from me...
I will be back in a few days time to do my final post for Purple Pumpkin.
Thanks for stopping by and i hope you get a chance to try our monthly sketch...we would love to see some more creations in our galley.

Together Forever

Good  morning everyone, Debbie here with you today to share a layout I created for a friend of mine.
I enjoyed working with some new collections by Teresa Collins
and added some stamping and inking to my layout.

I always enjoy adding a cluster to my layout. It includes a doily
and two Purple Pumpkin fabric buttons.
Here are a few closeups:

I also added another cluster in the upper left hand corner of my layout
and added a Purple Pumpkin spotty button:

I hope I've inspired you!

Thanks for stopping by!
